Oh, Mankato. You’ve had a rough year. First, this embarassing “Kato-Wide Party” video hit the Internet, then former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe calls you the STD capitol of Minnesota, and now your newspaper has made Buzzfeed‘s “layout disaster” list for 2013.

Earlier this year, The Free Press ran an article about grapefruit. But creative intentions to use a slice of the citrus fruit to create the letter “G” soon left readers puzzled by the headline, “Rapefruit: Good for every meal.”

We admire them for trying to spice up the page a little bit, but really? How did that not raise any red flags before going to the printer? Face palm.
