Worse off are the states’ students, who reportedly have the 4th-highest average student loan debt at $29,058, according to the StarTribune. The worst institution for debt was found to be the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, whose students were found to have a staggering $45,000 in average debt, while as high as 88 percent of its most recent graduating class still carries debt.
