South Saint Paul will see its first farmers’ market in more than a year starting July 3 at 12th and Southview avenues of the Wakota Federal Union parking lot. Produce lovers can enjoy the finest and freshest in local harvests every Wednesday from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

The market is expected to run until the end of September, but could stay open longer depending on weather, said Deb Griffith, the city’s community affairs liaison, to the PiPress. Kids activities, entertainment, and a spread of 10 to 20 farmers should make what the city hopes to be a weekly gathering point for local residents.
