Ouch. KDWB’s Dave Ryan is taking some heat for inspiring an all-out war against metro-area schools and cities after tweeting, “Tweet me anything, your city, your school, etc and I’ll make fun of it via Twitter. #gift #YoureWelcome.”

The not-so-Minnesota-nice tweets caused the Minnesota Department of Education to pull its public service announcements from all Clear Channel radio stations, reports the PiPress. On Tuesday evening, state education commissioner Brenda Cassellius released a statement discussing how troubling she found the invitation to make light of serious issues and perpetuate stereotypes.

Looks like your “War of the Roses“-filled commute will no longer be interrupted by announcements to promote literacy. Yeah, we’re aware of how strange that sounds.
