Do you love brunch? I love brunch. I wish everyone brunched more often and invited me along.
The 651.com folks put together a guide to St Paul breakfast and brunch spots. They reminded me why I have to spend more time at Swede Hollow Cafe, and surprised me with the knowledge of Pizza Luce brunch. $1 mimomas? It’s like they gazed into the spot where my soul should be and came up with the perfect brunch special.
There are some solid choices and some I wasn’t even aware of (what kind of St Paulite am I anyway, never having been to Jerabek’s) but one is definitely missing and you know what I’m going to say: The Strip Club. The Irish Breakfast and the Farmer’s Market Scramble are serious business. If you haven’t been there for brunch, what are you waiting for? A handwritten invitation?
What’s your favorite brunch spot?

The Sample Room bunch is pretty good.

Oh, and the eggs and drink (Bloody, Screwdriver or Greyhound) special at Whitey’s is good, too.

Agreed on both counts. I used to have regular brunch at Whiteys, and had the Sample Room brunch with the ladies the morning before Art-A-Whirl, and it was divine. Can’t believe I haven’t been back yet.

Brunch in STP…interesting?? are there bed n breakfasts too?
Sadly I don’t get over on the right side of town too often, why drive that far when I have the good day cafe so close?

Side note:
If you ever find yourself in MT and craving a greasy cheap breakfast stop into any number of casinos serving breakfast.
This past week end I got four slices of toast, american fries (red, purple, regular taters) bacon, sausage, two eggs over easy, the wife got american fries and toast and we both had baileys and coffee = 9 bucks!
dang, find me that restaurant and I’ll drive to STP every weekend.

@ang: It’s news to me the Strip Club serves brunch. I’m gonna have to check that one out!

@noodleman: They didn’t open with a brunch slot but it’s been around for awhile. Good spot for good bloodys, too. Those things are almost their own meal.

My brunch game suffered severely while living in the ‘burbs. I’m hoping to revive that.
