The STrib’s Rick Nelson has a pretty good tale of twitter and celebrity visits. Biggest Loser Coach “Bob the Trainer” (lol) tried to get a last minute table for 7:30pm on a Saturday at Bar La Grassa via American Express’s concierge service (ah, to be rich!), which is pretty much a straight up ridiculous request considering how booked the restaurant gets on the weekends. So Bar La Grassa (no stranger to celebrity sightings, remember) couldn’t accommodate the request, causing Bob to send some nasty — and not really truthful — tweets out that caused super fans to call the restaurant. Tsk, tsk, Bob. And well done, Bar La Grassa.

He should have just said he was Just Plain Bob instead. They would have found him a table.

@justpbob: Is it mantle-worthy? Or should it be driven to the junkyard in a white(y) Ford?

They seem to have pulled back on their ads so I don’t hear that as much as I used to. The tops was when the cashier at JC Penny’s in Southdale asked if my purchase was for the funeral home. Should have said yes.
