The Suburbs have had quite the career in the Twin Cities dating back to when they took over the TC in the ’80s. As one of the pioneer groups of the indie-rock scene here, they basically paved the way for (insert your favorite local band), and odds are you’ve never seen them play because they just released their first album in 27 years. They’ve popped up a time or two since then, and their song “Love is the Law”  was adopted as the theme song for the same-sex marriage movement in MN, but Si Sauvage is their first full album release since 1986. (Which probably just made you feel really old if you remember when that album came out.) Anyway, tonight is your chance to see one of the pioneer bands of the Twin Cities at First Ave., so you probably don’t want to miss out. $20 (advance) $25 (door). 8 p.m. —EJ
