TheUptake has live video at Hennepin County. Lots of people licking their fingers as they count ballots. It is pretty gross.

The recount really brings up a good question about Minnesota identity. We've always been a tops-in-the-nation participation state, transparent, good governance, etc. How important is that reputation to who we are?

When Leno joked that "Minnesota is an old Indian word for 'Florida,'" I was miffed. We are so the opposite of that! It's frustrating to hear people impugning the integrity of the process (especially as we learn that specific stories from Coleman--ballots in a trunk--and Franken--stroke victim not voting--are lies). How important is this aspect of MN identity to other MNSpeakers (or are we now Secretions)?

Don't you just hate it when Alaska beats Minnesota on selecting a Senator? Of course, they are still on the ORIGINAL election counting in the House of Palin. Stevenson, aka The Frozen Felon, has no way to catch up at this point, so Mayor Begich can pack his bags -- he's going to D.C.

In their efforts to win this election, both candidates have impugned the integrity of the process. Although, I think the right, as illustrated by the never dieing trunk comment, is doing more harm than the left. They are both positioning themselves to sue if the process does not go their way. See! See the fraud? It is sickening.

Oh man. Looks like both Coleman and Franken have a challenge from the lizard people (scroll down).
