Our favorite telenovela ever, Chasing Windmills, is the subject of a feature today on mpr. Juan Antonio, Cristina, Max and Sailor Martin make every day a little better for me.
And while you're at the MPR site, check this out. Wander over there sometime if you want to help out a starving Indian artist ... a few of whom I know.
Here's an MP3 of Chasing Windmills on MPR, and why not stay tuned for Chuck Olsen talking about the mnartists video series on MPR. That's right folks, a full 13 minutes of Morning Edition dedicated to videoblogging and witty banter!
Best. Local. Link. Ever.
Wow.
I wonder what makes a guy wake up and say to himself, "You know what? I'm gonna fuck me a dead deer."
">end link? just trying to fix the html boo-boo.
That boy is one sick puppy! He needs some help!
Sorry for screwing up the link.
I love the final paragraph: "If convicted, Hathaway could serve a prison term of up to two years because of a previous conviction. In April 2005, Hathaway pleaded no contest to one felony charge of mistreatment of an animal for the shooting death of Bambrick, a 26-year-old horse, to have sex with the animal."
yeah, mike, that about sums it up. Would it be going out on a limb to say this guy had some abuse in his childhood?
"Hathaway said he was aroused by the sight of the deer in the ditch."
Anyway, back to Chasing Windmills . . .
Congrats to all them folks! I heard most of the interview (I was half conscious), and alls I can say is Cristina's voice is trademarkable. I think recognition of that voice is what moved me from stage 5 unconsciousness to stage 3 unconsciousness.
Was it a Klingon deer?
At least the horse was 26 years old...Statutory Horse Rape is gross.
If you want to see Cristina and JA on the Tee-vee (on the web), we did a story on Windmills awhile ago.
Marsh has the absolute best subplot. I love the idea of him being Steve Jobs' song! In fact, I sorta already think it's true...
If Cristina and JA and Sailor Martin and Max make Tom's day a little better, at least I can take solace in the fact that I make his day a little worse. Ah, art. Love you guys!
Kisses,
SM
I don't know, matt9000 could it just have been the fact that I seem to have been screaming for some reason unbeknownst to me? Urgh.
And, Rex, I love the idea of Steve being a "song" even better. We'll work on it.
"Take this Jobs and Shove It"
How about that for father atonement?
Re: Bambi love"
""I'm a little surprised this issue hasn't been tackled before in another case,' (Judge) Lucci said. "

Only a district court judge in Duluth could say this with any credibility.
.
Congrats! And the three minutes is juuuuust right...
(pssst...call me...Chuck...I'm coming back atcha too...)
How did the Chasing Windmills thread turn into the deer rape thread?
someone forgot to pop their ADHD drug. typing finger tourettes. something like that.
(This post was brought to you by spellcheck.com. Thank you.)
Yeah, I was a little confused at first. I thought, damn we get pretty weird, but we haven't raped any deer yet!
(I just put that typo in there to avoid spoilers. Really.)
