Perhaps if Vicodin was a Schedule II drug (hard copy prescription needs to be presented for fulfillment), vs. Schedule III (which is what Vicodin falls under, and this type of prescription can be phoned in), more verification would be required. But since Vicodin is Scheduled III only, I believe what happened it technically appropriate. Going around and arbitrarily saying, "I think things should be that way" or "I think this should be this way" is cheap talk without objective basis. Just because Vicodin has a certain notoriety, doesn't mean controls on it change. Viagr* is also notorious, but it remains unscheduled.

Also, COMMON SENSE would tell you that perhaps your pharmacist knew it was for your otherwise bed ridden wife. Think. Someone else had to pick it up.

Intersting information from sgaschua... but it still seems a little odd. The pharmacists at Target let me pick up my wife's birth control pills. No ID needed. Of course, I don't sell those on the black market. However, I do take them to incite a sense of euphoria.

I can guess you are from the NE portion of the USA because politeness eludes a large section of that poplation.

People from ANYWHERE else in the USA don't purposely let the door shut behind them when someone is right behind them. People from ANYWHERE else in the USA usually smile back when given a friendly smile or polite "hello". People from ANYWHERE else in the USA usually say something like "bless you", when someone else sneezes. People from ANYWHERE else in the USA are not such timid drivers that they barely function on the road. People from ANYWHERE else in the USA don't slam change down on the counter for the cashier to pick up - they normally politely hand it to the cashier. People from ANYWHERE else in the USA are often good looking or interesting looking, and don't wear a constant frown of doom and gloom on their faces. People from ANYWHERE else in the USA don't always pretend like they didn't hear what you said if they hear something only slightly direct and to the point.

The list goes on and on and on...

Minneapolis is a hard place for new comers, I won't deny that.
Minnesotan's are predominately of German Heritage and are slow to welcome outsiders and are not the most outwardly effusive people.

Give people a break and don't be aggressive. That really turns people off here in fly over country. You will eventually see goodness in us.

Nope, Kitty Hawk, Carolina. Super nice people there. And don't defend your peeps from being ugli - there are far too many female Bruce Jenner look a likes, who, even if they're not dikes, sure look like they're lez. It is rare and far in between you find a good looking Minnesota woman here. Around some universities (where you have out of state blood), you can see some nicer looking ones. But many have that "criminal" hook nose that even the otherwise good looking Minnesotans seem to have. C'mon, you got to admit, there are quite a number of blase, uninteresting looking people in Twin Cities, c'mon. So many ugly people here. Havent you been out to other states?

Hey, uh, this is about the fact that I could get my wife's drugs without having to show MY ID, not a whole bash Minnesota or other places post. There's already too many of those. I can add to this now.
My neighbor and I were talking about this and his sister (who lives in Uptown) was mugged. In her purse was a prescription for some drug that acts like Vicodin.
When he went to get the prescription, he found it had been picked up and someone had scrawled his name (poorly) on the sheet. When he asked the clerk what the deal was, he was told that someone had all of her info.
Shouldn't the clerks at least LOOK and make sure the person picking up the drugs is somehow related?

Maybe staschua was bitterly rejected by some Scandahoofian college lass and that's why he hates Minnesota so much.

I've lived in Boston, LA, Europe, and people are nicer here then they are anywhere. When I lived in Boston, a blind man wandered around my neighborhood, and he'd stand stranded at the corner through three, four, five light changes because he knew that there was lots of traffic and he couldn't cross the street. I never saw anyone help him get across (except for my Minnesota self).

I get into more random-but-nice conversations with strangers here, people actually say "excuse me" when they bump into you, and I find myself being more polite too. I don't know where this Minnesota is that the angry guy is living in, but he should give mine a try.

You people are argueing, I'm assuming that you are grown adults, so you grown adults are argueing about whose state is better, basically. I hope I got that right.
