Art-A-Whirl deserves its own post. Any favorite stories born on Art-A-Whirls of yore? Any events/galleries/parties that promise to spawn the legends of tomorrow?
Go see Colin Kulow's work.
I always have a blast at spotArt openings. One year they had fire twirling godesses performing on the riverfront.
Every year we check out an aerial performance by Xelias. Haven't been disappointed yet.
It might not be legendary, but Foci Glass is a good stop. They'll be having some glassblowing demonstrations and music.
I hear Rich Kronfeld is kicking off the whole proceedings, which should be a hoot.
A hoot, I tells ya.
Going on RIGHT NOW through Sunday is the North Star Watercolor Society Art Show and Sale at the State Fair Grounds...
And of course, I'll contribute an Arts District overlay map for GE.
I suppose I could do the whole dang map too. It's kinda large but aligned the best I could.
Time to stop working, get out there and take pictures!
we are having an art a whirl afterparty at rogue buddha gallery starting at 9pm. http://www.roguebuddha.com
good free music at the 331 club just down the block.
funfun.
For some reason I had to read Jennifer's post like 12 times before I figured out that they are NOT having a after Art-A-Whirl Whirlpool party!
maybe it's because you're a simpleton?
Probably! Athough I had already found my speedo and was psyched for some hot tubbing!
I'm actually somewhat disappounted it isn't a whirlpool party. Although the mention of a Speedo has made me less disappointed.
I know of at least 2 whirlpools in NorthEast........
um, never mind.
Speedo! Speedo! Speedo!
