Local filmmaker Ryan Wood recently had several minutes of internet fame for his short film Fear Of Girls, a mockumentary of two D&D nerds that took $800 to make. It has been a top link this week on blog trackers and has led to a call from MTV.
(Although I first ran across it a week ago, it took Item World to notify me that it was locally-made.)
D&D? He should have done an Everquest piece if you ask me.
That was freakin' great. It was funny to see them sitting out at Lake Nokomis (I think). To bad the name of this guy's production company is yng turks....didn't they do that whole armenian genocide thing....
that was pretty awesome... kept my attention for 10+ minutes, which is saying a lot on the www.

Yes, that was Lake Nokomis park at the end of the film. Pretty good in places, even though I think the D&D Geeks Are Funny genre is getting a little old. I did laugh when when DougDoug's brother is trying to say grace and Dougie starts chanting to his pagan gods. And I like how he began nearly every sentence with "Frankly, ..."
