My New Favorite Local Blog Is A Vlog

That would be Chasing Windmills. The almost-daily, quasi-fictional portraits of Jadelr and Christina -- a Minneapolis couple expecting a baby and slowly going insane -- are amazing. Though the stark slice-of-life vignettes are difficult to describe, I'll try this out: David Lynch meets Jerry Seinfeld in a dark Minneapolis alley. Nah, that description sucks. Just click on a couple pieces and you'll probably be hooked like me.

Okay, if you want a starter recommendation, try the most recent piece, "Lofts," in which our protagonists get in their first fight.

Wow, I am already addicted. Their interactions remind me of Annie Hall, bits of intellectual conversation interspersed with daily life. Very cool.

The Annie Hall comparison is much better than Seinfeld. I already wish I could change my dumb description.

Haha, it's ok, I'll let you steal it if it comes up in conversation in your real life. The only reason it popped into my head so easily is that I was just reading a plot analysis of that movie online at filmsite.org this morning.

It reminded me of Funny Ha Ha but a few years older and more mature. I saw an episode yesterday by accident and now I know what it is. I'm going to subscribe to this one for a bit.

Chasing Windmills is dull. The real question is What Bars are open tomorrow night?!

juan is one talented dude.
i finally met him at IFP recently, and we traded woeful tales of keeping up a daily videoblog. i'm going to feature Chasing Windmills soon, but awhile back I featured that Ninja sign vid from his other vlog: www.jadelr.blogspot.com
