Says Steven: "I would like to repond to that. When I was 21, I was busy working toward my Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the University of Minnesota. I was the first to synthesize the compound okadaic acid -- shown to be the leading cause of breast cancer."
Ah, but did Sabes also have an anulled marriage, a coke addiction, and a sister who has become the trendsetter for all prosti-tots everywhere? I mean...Cancer? Come on! That's not hot!
And seriously, how many of us have had our hearts warmed by reading about organic chemistry in the supermarket aisles?
So take that mr. phd going to "make the world a better place"!
Something so wrong with a culture that can't give BOTH a promising scientist (you all will HAVE cancer some day, you know) and a young, intelligent businesswoman their due. It's not about being "hot," it's about being yourself.
There's something wrong with a culture that rewards a person based on the vagina they popped out of, but that's not really new.
I'm sure Nicky went into the business world with nothing more than determination and a suitcase full of dreams. *
*dreams = a couple million dollars
come on! how hard is it to 'run' two companies, when mommy and daddy (or would it be grandpa) did all the work to build them?
jodi, apparently pretty hard according to our current President ;)
Who is Nicky Hilton?
Wait, when did she start to "run two multi-million dollar companies" herself? Apparently her parents still do all the work.
The Hilton franchise would be multi-billion companies. The girls are talking about their own businesses -- clothing lines, tv show productions, etc. They have no role in managing the hotels.
yo sccopid! check it out http://www.askmen.com/women/models_150/180_nicky_hilton.html
wether she's a blonde or a brunette, she's hot
I wonder how Dr. Sabes enjoys being referred to as a "Wayzata Boy."
I'm sure he's crying about it.
Maybe. I can't judge from his letter whether or not he has a sense of humor.
gawker is all over this as well. someone call the daily show!
I bet that guy has an awesome sense of humor. Because he's a scientist.
He probably is a Paris fanboi hating on Nicky like that.
And like studying organic chemistry is hard compared to having actual plastic surgery... c'mon.
Did somebody say cancer? Another reason to support the smoking ban!
I want Bob's Job! I could do it during my free time here at work and double dip! Maybe I could afford to heat my house then.
MPAAT, Target Market and all the other anti-smoking losers out there actually go to work thinking they have something relevant to do. What a huge waste of money.
For all the morons who know nothing of Paris and Nicky, they both have their own money as they inherited about $6mil from their Great grandfather. They stand to get another $ 50 mil from grandpa Barron Hilton. Nicky started her company "Chick" by herself and does all her own designs, obviously she has a large co. who markets and makes the outfits but she calls the shots. She also owns a handbag distribution co. with Samantha Thavasa of Tokyo. Sure her name got her in the door but then she ran with it. She never had a Cocaine problem. Right, the Hiltons have nothing to do with hotels other than own the name. Her Dad is developer in LA. Oh yeah her name is Nicholai not Nicky. How do we know Chemistry boy did anything? I always heard smoking is leading cause of breast cance along with bad genes.
This Bob from ALAMNot (notice: not Bob from ALAMN) has posted a couple times today. I think he might just be making fun of Bob from ALAMN. Is that the deal, BobNot?
The tactic is to take any thread (however tangentially related to smoking) and turn it into smoking ban thread. If you're lucky, you can get paid for it! Another reason to support the smoking ban! This is happening everywhere! Precedent = proof of GOODNESS! C'mon everybody, get on board!
Alright, "Not Bob," you've made your point. No more spam please.
"No more spam please."
OK, I'll stop. Will you be extending this request to Real Bob? If we ask you nicely?
Oh, I agree with you on the sentiment. Everyone should call him out next time it happens.
you guys are nuts. but i like this idea of pretending to be some other mnspeaker, making it so obvious that it's a parody of another person's m.o. that everyone knows it's an imposter, and then everyone comments for quite awhile.
