Dude Weather Subscribe to Secrets Minneapolis / St. Paul
I can't find it online, so from the print edition of the Strib:
"At first, we were loath to admit we could possibly learn something new from some upstart local site. Then we started to, about every day. A definite 'add to favorites' contender for Twin Cities scene-watchers." -- Kristin Tillotson
I'm not sure if that's faint praise, be we'll take it.
What is so great aboutn MN Speak is that it is the only news source that contains all Twin Cities news. No World section, that's what I like most.
Regarding KSTP, I am amused because I think if you put Bob Davis or Kris Kroc on the Next Best Thing, neither one would get a call back.
I wonder how all these new Strib readers will respond to our next KK ithread.

For the archive, here's the Mpls. St. Paul magazine award text:
"Web designer Rex Sorgatz's blog, mnspeak.com, didn't get Dan Rather fired (though it did earn Garrison Kellor's ire when it sold those 'Prairie Ho Companion' T-shirts). It's just done what any great media does: become a daily routine. Serving as a local media curator and referee, it is both idiosyncratic, with daily links to Sorgatz's must reads (for better or for worse), and all-encompassing: Click on the Aggregator to find more than 200 locally based blogs sorted chronologically, alphabetically, by subect, and, most ingeniously, by personal set of criteria."
All right, it is time to expand my RSS Reader again with local blogs I haven't read before. If you kow of or have a local blog that produces local content (and it doesn't need to all be local content; just occasional), go ahead and pimp it here.…

The PiPress reports: At least, there's one good thing about a bad economy: Burgers are hot right now. Especially the cheap ones. In the past year in the Twin Cities, a mini burger boom has been under way. What new burger joints have you enjoyed? Wha…
