Ah, the joys of Spazzdad.
If any of you haven't read them yet, you gotta check out Todd Smith's posts on "The Idiots at My Work."
Not exactly on-topic, but I despise the Road Runner and sincerely wish the Coyote would eat him.
I feel the same way about Tweety Bird.
My title, however, if from the awesome Bo Diddley song Road Runner.
Your wish is granted, tara.
Bob, I said I wanted the Coyote to EAT him. I was all excited that maybe he finally had. But no dice.
Max, I agree that Tweety Bird is also loathsome. I like that little duck friend of Jerry's though. He's cute as a button.
Now that you mention it, I've always hated the Roadrunner theme song. It's like Percy Faith were leading a PTA choir or something. What was Warner Bros thinking when they cooked that one up?
That's as close as he ever got, tara. That is the Zen of the Coyote. God bless him, he never quit. Thanks to him, the 270 employees of ACME Products, Inc. of Beaver Dam, Wisc. still have their jobs.
Now that you mention it, I've always hated the Roadrunner theme song.
This is for you, arthappy:
Everybody sing along:
"If you're on a highway and Road Runner goes beep-beep!
Just step aside, or you might end up in heap!
Road Runner, Road Runner runs on the road all day.
Even the Coyote can't make him change his ways.
Road Runner, that Coyote's after you!
Road Runner, if he catches you, you're through!
Road Runner, that Coyote's after you!
Road Runner, if he catches you, you're through!
That Coyote is really a crazy clown!
When will he learn that he never can mow him down?
Poor little Road Runner never bothers anyone.
Just running down the road is his idea of having fun!"
bleah!
I was walking down Nicollet Mall last night, thinking what a shame it is that Let it Be closed down to make way for condos that didn't get built before the bubble burst. Why did they fold, but not the Scientologists?
And T. Daffer shows up in the pages of the Rake. Excellent.
Got the AM radio on!
All right, it is time to expand my RSS Reader again with local blogs I haven't read before. If you kow of or have a local blog that produces local content (and it doesn't need to all be local content; just occasional), go ahead and pimp it here.…

An interesting discussion broke on on Twitter today when it came out that Baja Sol's CEO is also the chair of the Republican Party in Minneapolis, prompting some to decide not to eat there (summary and links to the conversation courtesy of Heavy Tabl…
From the Health Insurance Resouce Center: Interviewed on Minnesota Public Radio, Kline says as far as he's concerned, a health reform bill with a public option is a no-go. His reasoning is that it would be ... too successful. (Via)…
At 8:30 AM on a Thursday in early July, I am unable to think of what books were recommended at the last MnRead meeting and in the last MnRead post for future MnRead discussion. So make your recommendations here. Books with local angles (Fitzgerald co…
The PiPress reports: At least, there's one good thing about a bad economy: Burgers are hot right now. Especially the cheap ones. In the past year in the Twin Cities, a mini burger boom has been under way. What new burger joints have you enjoyed? Wha…
