Dude Weather Subscribe to Secrets Minneapolis / St. Paul
"Pizza With A Conscience" Galactic Pizza gets a nod on the national level with a feature on CNN Money.
The snow in those pictures make me sad. If winter isn't long enough to have to be reminded of it when it is finally getting warm. I am seriously considering moving to a warmer climate. Is 4 - 5 months of decent weather really worth living here?
Here's the video.
These guys make some of my favorite pizza in Minnesota.
I had my first taste of Galatic Pizza at the Living Green Expo this year.
I'm sorry to report that it was pretty lame -- at least not what I like. Fun company, though, trying to do the right thing...

You could lose your mind living in Florida.
Florida would not be an option. But almost anywhere other than the Dakotas, Wyoming and Montana are significantly warmer than here. We seriously have some of the shittiest cold weather anywhere on earth, at least in for a major metropolitan area.
I think SD is about 20 degrees warmer (on average) than Mnpls. However, the fucking hurricane force winds will kill you.
On a summer drive across SD in 2006, the car's thermometer read 117 degrees. Wind was like a blast furnace.
Totally, Rat, it's the lack of trees. I think Pierre hit 90 degrees at the end of this past April. I drove there for an interview with the state health department 8 years ago with no air conditioning. It was 97 degrees in May.
I was mostly talking about cold winters. Not how warm it gets in the summer. None of those states really have major metropolitan areas either.
You'd think that article would mention the time one of the Galactic delivery guys (in costume) ran down a purse snatcher and got the purse back.
The weather's not bad in Atlanta. Can get pretty hot in the summer
There's always Kansas City, or Austin, or St Louis...
Looks like a few of those guys shouldn't be wearing the Spandex, though. They should think up another outfit.
Since we have a report that says the pizza doesn't taste very good, no point in ruining appetites as well.
I've had their pizza before and I liked it well enough. It didn't knock my socks off, but it's better than pizza hut and their ilk.
Seems to me it might bet smart to get the pizza right first and then add on the social conscience stuff.
+1
It's good but not great.
That's a +1 to aliecat, not Rat.
It it better than Pizza Luce?
What about Little Ceasars or Rocky Rococco? Really, those two restaurants are the gold standard of pizza.
Pizza Pizza!
Dominos just focused on delivery and adverstising and made $$$$$$ selling a sub-standard pie, Rat.
I eat Galactic all the time. Kinda pricey but very tasty. My favorite is the Hipster pizza.
Sure it may not be the best pizza ever, but I am relaxed when eating since I trust those guys to put the right ingredients. As opposed to other places where I have to wonder if they used nasty cheap shit ingredients to make a super-unhealthy meal.
Galactic Pizza FTW! A great local, neighborhood business.
Bix, I prefer Luce, but that's just my preference.
I'm about to eat Cossetta's in this plain white shirt. Wish me look.
The weather's not bad in Atlanta.
As long as you don't need water to survive.

Yes, that seems to be a particular problem in that area.
Leaning Tower is better, by sheer virtue of being the best pizza ever.
nom nom nom deeeeelish!

I liked it.
C'mon: Pizza is grunt food. Something to chew on while you're watching a baseball game. Something to chop up and serve to kids. Approach it from any other perspective and you're missing the mark.
of course many will find galactic pizza not great. when you have been reared on crappy dough and fake chesse, what do you expect when you eat real food...the paul bunyun is quite spectacular imho.
Galactic is sooo good, plus the 1950's decor rocks...
All right, it is time to expand my RSS Reader again with local blogs I haven't read before. If you kow of or have a local blog that produces local content (and it doesn't need to all be local content; just occasional), go ahead and pimp it here.…
