We forgot to update our credit card info with GoDaddy. Oops. Should be back in business now.
If you're leet, you could still access the site with http://fimoculous.com/mnspeak/
Yeah. I was going to have a few people access the site through the back door and pretend they didn't understand why they were alone on MnSpeak, but I guess that joke is ruined.
Wish I would have known five minutes ago... I would have played along!
Besides, though... MNSpeak being down for a few hours got more press than the bus crash at Metro State this morning.
I was going to start crying, soon...
At least now you know... when you're gone, you'll be missed. I hope that makes you feel better today, MNSpeak.
You kids stay away from my back door!
It may be another hour or so before every starts showing up again as the update moves through the series of tubes that is the internet. I can still only access the site through the back door.
I found this site searching back door.
I actually tried the back door through Rex's site but it was a little wonky and I couldn't log in.
And ... now I've got it back.
A partial list of respondees to this morning's MnSpeak outage:
The men don't know, but the little girls understand.
A three hour production spike across the land comes screeching to a halt.
This morning, during the outage, my inbox filled up with emails from people that I had no idea read this site.
Al Franken, really?
(Okay, not really.)
Here are the Twitter tweets on MNSpeak. Great job by the tweeter who broke the story.
omg don't do that to me again!
i have an addiction.
(JdR pats self on back)
tweetscan: that's cool. thanks for the link.
I actually WAS having a 3-hour production spike. And I'm going back to it now. So glad I missed the outage!
I left Max a wall post and then IMed Teucer.
How the fuck do you expect me NOT to do my job if you can't keep on top of your automobills?
And here I thought I'd have to not just look but actually be productive today.
Oh God, is AgriNews down too!?!
Collins and DeRusha better hope that charming and gracious CJ doesn't later claim to have been first with reporting MNSpeak's brief disappearing act.
DeRusha, Shortal just left here and she's still pissed about your little photo war. I think she's coming to kick your ass right now.
I call B.S. Your domain didn't expire, it's all a part of THIS and you're all fools if you don't think the end is near.
I want to believe, Kevin. The truth is out there.
This is a case for Dana Scully!
I want to believe, Kevin. The truth is out there.
Don't believe Sparber's lies! He's in on it. He's setting us up for the kill only to sneak out his own back door at the last possible moment.
Calm down Kevin. You got the book I gave everyone when I started here. My only purpose is to serve man.
Here' something to keep people educated and entertained the next time Max lets things go awry. (Not a rickroll, promise.)
Kurtis, awesome!
I just can't get the godaddy commercial out of my head...
goooo daddy
All right, it is time to expand my RSS Reader again with local blogs I haven't read before. If you kow of or have a local blog that produces local content (and it doesn't need to all be local content; just occasional), go ahead and pimp it here.…

At 8:30 AM on a Thursday in early July, I am unable to think of what books were recommended at the last MnRead meeting and in the last MnRead post for future MnRead discussion. So make your recommendations here. Books with local angles (Fitzgerald co…
