MNSpeak: Talk

Darkest horses may be favorite sons

Looking for a Democrat to root for in tonight's New Hampshire primary? Take a gander at their ballot (PDF) and you may find that Minneapolis is represented by Presidential candidate and SE resident Ole Savior.

On the Republican side, Minnesota is represented by perennial candidate Jack Shepard - although the connection is tenuous at best because although he claims St. Paul as his residency, he apparently hasn't spent the last 25 years out of the country as a fugitive. Maybe I'll stick with Ron Paul after all.

Hmmm someone named Savior with a "zero tolerance policy". Go figure.

I'll wait until Savior Onassis runs before a Savior gets my vote.

Ole Savior runs for everything. He's run for higher office probably at least 20 times. He consistently runs for Minnesota governor and the US senate every time there's a primary or election and he generally aims to get the DFL endorsement. I don't think he's ever received it.

It's kind of a dream of mine to one day be a crackpot candidate for something, but I'm held back by the fear that I'll accidentally be elected.

Wow, Ole Savior looks fan-damn-tastic:

Savior also doesn't support same-sex marriages. He supports gay rights but feels that marriage is not important and those fighting for gay marriage are irritating people and are making more enemies and ultimately driving Democrats to vote Republican.

Also, his profile sounds like it was written by an eighth-grader for the school newspaper.

My predictions for New Hampshire Democratic primary returns: Savior trounces Biden, but does not beat Vermin Supreme

It's fine in threads, as long as it is related to the subject at hand. I just prefer not to see it in the main posts, mostly because it encourages spammers.

Go Uptake!

I saw an interview about the candidates while the interviewer was getting his teeth cleaned. It was from Debate Porridge.
