Further solidifying the state’s position as North Florida, the Wisconsin Historical Society’s Odd Wisconsin exhibit opens tomorrow and runs for two ridiculous years.

“[Odd Wisconsin] is an exhibition comprising 46 individual displays featuring some of the most compelling, intriguing and curious original materials from the Society’s collections. More importantly, each display tells a great story, from whimsical to deadly serious.”

Today In WI: Crane Wants Rooster To STFU

Next-door-neighbor Williams Crane has called the police three times because his neighbor Jake is being too loud. Jake is a rooster.

Crane does not dispute the right to own chickens in the city, but he thinks Jake’s cock-a-doodle-dos violate an ordinance prohibiting “unreasonably loud and raucous noise emitted by an animal or bird.”

Crane recorded Jake’s crows on his cell phone for playback to city officials.

Police officer Jacob Saari investigated Crane’s complaint. Saari heard Jake crow three times during his visit to the home and determined the rooster’s vocal skills did not violate the noise ordinance.
