Spotted while hitting the Times Website today. Not only does this article feature a home for sale in Uptown, but there’s a Prince shout out, too. Note the purple shutters: serendipity. I walk by that home all the time and spotted the MPLS connection from the thumbnail. Maybe the Times will come save the Strib? Oh, yeah… never mind.

Manuela Testolini, who was married to Prince from 2001-2006, was caught up in the terrorist violence in Mumbai this past evening, and gave this harrowing interview to CNN: At first, they didn’t know what it was. Then, one of Testolini’s colleagues saw a man get shot to death outside the restaurant’s front door, and everyone started to run.
“We left everything behind, including purses and phones,” said Testolini, the ex-wife of music icon Prince and founder of In A Perfect World children’s foundation. “There was a lot of panic.”
Prince looks for the Purple Banana in LA: Prince has lived in Los Angeles since last spring, after spending years in Minneapolis, holding court in a complex called Paisley Park, where he made thousands of songs, far away from the big labels. Seven years ago, he became a Jehovah’s Witness. He said that he had moved to L.A. so that he could understand the hearts and minds of the music moguls. “I wanted to be around people, connected to people, for work,” he said. “You know, it’s all about religion. That’s what unites people here. They all have the same religion, so I wanted to sit down with them, to understand the way they see things, how they read Scripture.”
