Inside Glamorama with Video
With all the publicity about preparations for the Glamorama event held last Friday, it’s fun to look inside the event with Melinda Jacobs, and see some glimpses of the fashions and her interviews of people in attendance. Chuck Olsen, via TC Daily Planet, contributes an interview and profile of the charming Megan Nurnberger, Children Cancer Research Fund’s child ambassador for this year’s show. Inspiration from two very different directions!
Latest comment — justpbob: Okay, Melinda I can see at Glamorama. But Chuck? Since he was interviewing a kid, I hope his pants status was "ship shape and Bristol fashion."

MN Project Runway Contestant
In an upsetting move, season six of Project Runway has moved from Bravo to Lifetime (the network for women)and has switched from New York City to Los Angeles, possibly scarring Tim Gunn forever.
This season’s cast includes 30-year-old Shakopee resident Christopher Straub, a visual merchandiser. My lazy Googling has determined that he is the owner of fashion label Cricket Syndicate, which makes underwear out of old t-shirts. He is a 1997 graduate of Edina High School. Good luck, Christopher!
Latest comment — Bixby: I, for one, am intrigued by this television concept and feel it could be a refreshing departure from the onslaught of animal crime shows and Hell's...
Who decides what Twins uniform to wear?
Apparently, Twins on-the-field fashion is the subject of some debate. Via the Strib: The day’s starting pitcher picks out the uniform for the day, and opinions vary greatly among the Twins’ five-man rotation.
Which uniform do you like?
Latest comment — MorneauFan33: I personally like the pinstripe road jerseys. I like the Minnesota logo and it doesn't feel like baseball without pinstripes. I also like the M hat...

Spring Fashion Guide
A little cross-promotion with, um, ourselves: Kate Iverson has put together a terrific guide to spring fashion. Where do you shop for your great Minnesota looks?
I still seem to hit up Tatters a lot, myself.
Latest comment — noodleman: c/best kind of tailor-made, I mean.
A former fashionista’s take on Oscar Minnesota
Roxane Battle looks at the way locals dress for Oscar night. And, yes, you may talk about the Oscars in general in this thread. I think Mickey Roarke should have won, not because he was better than Sean Penn, but because the night desperately needed a little more crazy.
Latest comment — jane: I never dress up as "slutty" anything! I was a "sexy oscar watcher" if you must.
Casual Friday and the Breakdown of Society
I don’t think I am overstating Ron Way’s thesis when I say that he has used the closing of Nate’s Clothing as a jumping off point for arguing that America’s increased lack of formality (which often tips over into public slovenliness) is the cause of a impending apocalypse.
Well, I might have overstated the thesis slightly.
Latest comment — Anonymous: Two words- Herbert White.
Latest comment — champs: Being that it's State Fair time, I assume the fashion is mullets and fanny packs, with a heavy dose of Hollister and lowbrow-joke-screened t-shirts...
