Weekend Lunacy
So the Lebowski Fest is this weekend, and the Pioneer Press writes about it, and, oh my God, there’s Andy Sturdevant in the photo.
Also this weekend, if you’re up for a road trip, is the recreation of the fatal First National Bank robbery in Northfield that spelled the end of that James-Younger gang. We tried to go last week, because we never known when things are actually happening.
Latest comment — Shopgirl: Also this weekend was the 2009 NEDA conference at Hilton Mpls, which was truly amazing and very inspiring!
Give & Take
Downtown Journal peeks in on Give & Take, “Where happy hour meets show and tell”: At the monthly event, everybody in attendance — presenters and audience members — are asked two questions: What do they know about? And second, what do they want to know about?
Irish Fair
As many of you already know, tonight is that start of the St. Paul Irish Fair. Not only are they featuring the Dropkick Murphys as headliners, but also on hand will be a virtual who’s who of local Hibernia-inspired performers, including The Great Northern Piper’s Club, The Wild Colonial Bhoys, and the Irish Brigade (full list here). Anybody planning to get their Irish on this weekend?
Latest comment — Cupcake: I went Saturday-got out right before the sirens. Landed at Kelly's depot bar just in time. Best part of the day was Nick Coleman's talk about Irish...

2. Arrive before three, it’s free admission.
3. Holy Land Deli will be among new food vendors.
4. Also new: Blink Bonnie, Buffalo Wild Wings, Walleye Wagon

What the…: The most useful local blogs
Ok, Trying to figure out where to spend my online time finding out what is going on in town. What people are saying, where they are eating, what art is worth going to see, what bands make a difference, what opinions rule the day, what wine tastes best, who slipped up, what they said, where the heat is, when is it going to heat up. You know the drill. Should I spend my time here? If not, then where?

St. Patrick’s Day
METRO does a round up of events on St. Patrick’s Day, or, as we actual Irish boozers call it, amateur night. What are your plans?
Latest comment — Bixby: Also, Noodleman is right, this thread needs more puns. I'm green with envy for anyone who is going drinking on Tuesday.
Lebowski Fest coming to Minnesota
Nothing is set in stone, but there’s talk of bringing Lebowski Fest to Minnesota. I’ll only go if they sell oat sodas and caucasians, man.
