2017 Twin Cities Book Festival + Opening Night Talk
The Twin Cities Book Festival—brought to you by Rain Taxi—is not only the largest and most important literary gathering in the Upper Midwest, it is the annual get-together for the Twin Cities’ devoted literary community. This FREE, day-long festival brings people together to celebrate our vibrant literary culture. The festival welcomes ‘rock star’ authors, local literary heroes, publishers, magazines, booksellers—all of whom connect over great books and conversations.
This year’s author presentations include everyone from Cory Doctorow to Yrsa Daley-Ward to Senator Al Franken. Plus there’s a massive book fair, mingling events for book lovers and writers, Young Adult and kids events, a poetry bus and more!
OPENING NIGHT TALK: Friday, October 13, 7 PM
TALES OF TWO AMERICAS: Stories of Inequality in a Divided Nation
Be sure to attend the opening night reading and discussion at 7 PM at the Fine Arts Center at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds—it’s free and open to the public. Plus there’s a reception before hand at 7 PM that includes appetizer buffet and cash bar. Tickets to the reception are $25, support the Twin Cities Book Festival, and reception attendees will also have reserved seating for the opening night talk!
