Walker’s Thursday Lights Interactive Light Display

Over-played songs by Minnesota natives aside, everyone loves fireflies. The Walker Art Center proves their affection for them with their newest interactive light installation created by Target. Mason jars filled with glowing, wire-filament faux-fireflies will pulse in the sculpture garden. When they’re approached the lights will streak up the sides of the Target corporate building in a skyline-sized celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. For the month of July, you can see many exhibits at the Walker for free in the evening, then step outside from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Thursdays for this exhibit.
