Superbowl Brings Out Alley Cats On Bikes
For 16 years the Superbowl has brought out the fan in “fanatics” with Minneapolis bike riders. Regardless of temperature or team allegiance, nearly 400 people race on open roads along a non-circuitous route, checking off bars as they go. This tradition is Minnesota’s very own Stupor Bowl, and is said to be the second largest alley cat bike race in the world.
According to the Facebook event page, Stupor Bowl XVI kicks off tomorrow. Registered riders receive a manifest that reveals the check points, but after that, they’re on their own. The event culminates with an after party but the location of it is, of course, a secret.
