At least in the car—local cops are targeting drivers today in honor of National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. While checking a text at a stoplight may seem harmless, there are some pretty scary stats out there. According to the Pioneer Press, “Minnesota authorities estimate that one in four car accidents is due to distracted driving. That’s resulted in 208 deaths and nearly 26,000 injuries in the state the past three years.” Yikes. Trust us, that tweet about Dick Clark can wait until you park your Prius.
