It’s been a pretty crazy week for the Minnesota GOP since state party chair man Tony Sutton abruptly resigned with the party having debt in excess of $500,000. But it looks like there’s even more developing: Politics in Minnesota has a pretty explosive report that the GOP actually has debt that’s closer to $1 million with recount costs that Sutton previously claimed the party was not legally obligated to pay. Sutton signed off on the documents, but didn’t inform other GOP officials of the move, and the report has taken many people by surprise.
