The latest issue of Saveur is dedicated entirely to donuts. Sugar-dusted, frosting-topped or glaze-dunked, they’re all there. We’re drooling just thinking of the taste-tasting required to put the issue together.

Between recipes for crullers and ganache glazes, the mag compiled a list of America’s 50 Best Donuts—and Minnesota scored two spots on the pastry ranking. Make a road trip this weekend to taste the Long Johns at Lindstrom Bakery in Lindstrom, or the Scandinavian-style donuts at Bloedow’s Bakery down in Winona. Or both. We hear a donut in each hand makes for a balanced diet.
