Minneapolis Zombies Officially Seize World Record

The bloodied bones and bites have finally been counted and the Zombie Pub Crawl has officially broken the Guinness World Record for Largest Gathering of Zombies. It’s been a month now since the crawl but Guinness announced yesterday that a total of 8,027 zombies were present at Midway Stadium for the World Record Attempt at 9 p.m.

ZPC shattered the old record held by the New Jersey Zombie Walk, which had a mere 4,093 in 2011. Drawn not only to break the record, ZPC provided the undead with carnival rides, a specialty beer dubbed “Brain Belt Cranium,” and even the world’s largest inflatable zombie, “Phil.” While only “Zombie Island” was counted for the record, more than 30,000 attendees rose from their graves to roam the streets that night.
