Sure, Craigslist is a decent place for finding a job, a dining room table, or a car. But how does the site function as a platform for social commentary?
According to the Strib, a 27-year-old Minneapolis law-office employee known only as “Lindsey” took to the site’s “Missed Connections” section after a man spouted off a series of lewd comments about her clothing choices and then sped away. Her post, “The blonde you shouted at,” under the “women for men” category, includes a physical description of the cat caller. So if you’re reading this, middle-aged man with dark hair, tan skin, wearing a red polo, and driving an SUV . . . you have a Missed Connection waiting.
