She’s back. After a season-ending crash this past February in Austria, Lindsey Vonn is back on the slopes preparing for the Winter Olympics with Team USA. In an interview this morning with Matt Lauer on Today, the Minnesota native told him all about her miraculously quick recovery. “I can’t tell which [knee] is injured,” Vonn said.

Vonn, the most accomplished skier in American history, tore two ligaments in her right knee and broke a bone in her lower leg. No one would have begrudged her for taking more time for rehab after the big crash, but Vonn wanted to compete in Sochi. “You have to be a little crazy to be a downhill ski racer,” she told Lauer.

So what has boyfriend and golf pro Tiger Woods done to help? He’s taught her patience, Vonn said. He went through a similar ACL surgery in 2008.

Lauer ended the interview with a simple question: Will we see her on the podium come February? Her response: “You better believe it.”
