If you said yes, we have some bad news: Our unseasonably warm winter is bad for syrup production. “In order for their sap to run, maple trees need temperatures to fluctuate between warm days and freezing nights,” reports MPR. So if you see maple syrup for sale in the coming months, stock up. Otherwise you’ll be stuck with Aunt Jemima. The horror!
