Starting today, anyone with questions about Minnesota’s new health insurance marketplace, MNsure, can get their questions answered with the help of a new call center.

Although enrollment in MNSure doesn’t begin until Oct. 1—and plans themselves won’t kick in until Jan. 1, 2014—the call center is available now to respond to inquiries involving comparison shopping and different insurance plans (via MPR).

Minnesota’s answer to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (more commonly known as ObamaCare), MNsure was created as a one-stop-shop for affordable, quality health insurance. Under the new law, those not covered by an employer, Medicaid, Medicare, or other public insurance program, must enroll in a private policy.

So whether you need coverage for yourself, your family, or your small business, this exchange will allow users to search and compare plans from a variety of insurers, receive personalized assistance, view prices, and enroll—all in one easy-to-nativate website.
