Yesterday Gov. Dayton sent a two-page missive to Vikings owner Zygi Wilf, denouncing the team’s plans to charge season ticket holders up to $20,000 in ticket license fees and to move more games overseas. The state has contributed almost half a billion dollars to the Vikings for the new stadium’s construction with the hope of building “ ‘a People’s Stadium,’ not a ‘Rich People’s Stadium.’ ” Gov. Dayton expressed concern that putting such a high price tag on seat licenses would reverse those efforts. He also sees the London Game as a breach of the stadium agreement, which only allows for three overseas “home games” every 15 years.
