CANCELLED. What happens when you mix singer/songwriter Trevor Davis and producer Mark Suhonen? Apparently, a Michael Jackson/Postal Service-type meets Wes Anderson kind of band called Dr. Seahorse. (Think quirky, with just the right amount of mainstream draw.) Intrigued? We are. This duo makes original songs on Davis’ acoustic guitar and then throws them into the world of tech beats, where he produces it to make it an electronic hit. Sounds kind of strange, but these guys have been doing it since 2007 so rest assured, they’ve got it down to an art. Enjoy this electro-acoustic melding for free, tonight at Amsterdam Bar and Hall. Nothing says post-weekend more than a free show in downtown Saint Paul. Plus, Trivia Mafia’s making an appearance before the show at 6 p.m., making it a double whammy—and probably easier to get out of the house on a Monday evening. 9 p.m. Free. —AA
