Gov. Mark Dayton is taking a stand against bullies. His task force on bullying held its first meeting yesterday in Roseville. The purpose? “To examine the best practices and policies that exist to prevent bullying and providing future recommendations to the governor and the Legislature,” according to MinnPost. Members of the task force include state representatives and teachers, plus Brenda Cassellius, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education.

Bullying has been a big issue in the national spotlight in recent months. Case in point: Rolling Stone‘s February article on the Anoka-Hennepin school district drew lots of attention to Minnesota.
