Many residents of North Minneapolis are still reeling from the tornado that ripped through the metro two weeks ago. To help with the recovery effort, this weekend Northside: A Twin Cities Community Benefit will be holding a concert this Sunday, June 12th at 5pm in the hopes of raising $100,000 to provide support for those who lost their homes and businesses.
The event assembles with an incredible line-up of musicians to perform at the benefit, including Sounds of Blackness, Soul Asylum, Brother Ali, Billy McLaughlin Group, The New Standards, Cameron Wright, DJ Freddy Fresh, Darnell Davis and the Remnan, Keri Noble and more. Robyne Robinson will be the evening’s MC, and she’ll have help from performer T. Mychael Rambo, WCCO’s Angela Davis, and DJs from many of the Twin Cities’ radio stations.
If you aren’t attending, but would like to still help out with a donation, you can donate online through Give.mn on the benefit’s website.
