ALDI is adding a new feature to its Minnesota stores this month, though not in the way you might guess. They aren’t adding shopping bags and you still need to pay if you want to use a shopping cart—though remember you can’t pay using credit cards—so bring quarters.
However, now you can fill your cart (or cardboard crate from home) with organic food!
The STrib reported yesterday that the store is testing its new organic brand with products such as pizza, cereal, snacks, cheese, apple juice, and olive oil. The name of the line is “Simply Nature,” which ALDI promises will be sold at the low rates they are famous for. We have to say, “Simply Nature” puts a new twist on the store’s tag-line: “Simply Shopping Smarter.”
