After spending 15 years on Lousiana’s death row, inmate Damon Thibodeaux wants a fresh start. In Minnesota, nonetheless. The Star Tribune reports the 38-year-0ld man was the 300th nationwide prisoner to be released after DNA evidence proved his innocence. The judge lifted the murder charge, granting Thibodeaux the chance to start over. Thibodeaux reportedly chose Minnesota as an opportunity to move on and put his life in the South behind him. He says, “I hear Minnesota is a real nice place.”
