Hi everyone,

In a late-night attempt to reduce load times on the talk page, I’ve added a few much-needed indexes to our database. In plain English, the talk homepage should load about 33% faster than it did before. I’ll be working at speeding up other slow parts of the site this weekend and next week.

Hi all. I’ve just fixed Firefox 2. You’ll need to clear out your browser cache (try holding shift when clicking the refresh button, or clear it manually) in order to get the fix.

Let me know if it’s still causing any issues. Apologies about not having this fixed at launch–it was a rather odd bug.

I’ve done a lot of think these last few days. A lot of soul searching. A lot of ponderment. And I have come to this decision: The running tally of MNspeak jinx obligations will continue, it will live on. All standing obligations will be honored on what will henceforth be known as the Secrets of the City running tally of jinx obligations.
