Weekend Lunacy

I have been wondering how Jason’s Station and other news outlets will deal with a presidential visit, a historic first game at the new U stadium, and anything else that might break as news this weekend with their limited weekend resources.

Busy weekend.

The Rat will make a confession. He has a black t-shirt that says: “This aggression will not stand, man.”

Did anyone here realize that the 98 cent check that The Dude wrote out for Half & Half was dated September 11?

You have to wear that to Lebowski Fest, Rat. I want 5th funniest bixby to go, to, just so she can shout “That’s racist!” when some Dude wannabe orders a “Caucasian.”

That’s an odd thing to re-inact.

You mean the bank robbery? What else does Northfield got?

I was always a big fan of Concrete and Grass, because it was the one music festival with a characteristically mellow, St. Paul vibe. But I’m a little skeptical of their splitting it up into two stages this year.

It’s a little known fact that Obama will be in town for Autumn Brew Review.

True story.

Good point.

The Rat would feel out of place at events like Lebowski Fest.

He’s not a big fester.

I thought it was a lame movie.

That’s just, like, your opinion, man.

I bet if there was really a Little Lebowski Urban Achiever program, you’d be one, Kwatt.

There you’d be: Smiling, standing to Nancy Reagan.

I picture kwatt a little more as Brandt. Oh, or one of the nihilists.

See I don;’t know what that means.

That’s fine.

We wouldn’t expect an Iowan to understand.

Hey! Isn’t Bunny, the Big Lebowski’s wife, from Iowa?

That figures…

Jurks.

Obama is actually in town to honor the James-Younger gang by robbing the HMOs.

Bunny is from near Moorhead.

As long as its United Healthcare Obama is robbing, I’ll get my shotgun and join him. (g)

Fawn Knutson.

jane: Kwatt can’t be a nihilist…they believe in nothing.

Can’t I just go to Obama’s speech tomorrow and yell “That’s racist!” instead? I’m not sure what exactly will be racist but I’m certain something will get racial. Somehow. On Fox.

Also this weekend was the 2009 NEDA conference at Hilton Mpls, which was truly amazing and very inspiring!
