So, I suppose those of you who were arguing last week that you just can’t keep your eyes on kids all the time, will find this insignificant and blameless, but a 3-year-old boy was found walking along Highway 55 at 2:45 this morning ‚Äî about a half mile from his home.

The boy’s parents called police about 5:30 a.m. when they discovered their son was missing. [Eagan Police Officer Danielle] Andelment says the boy apparently got out of his home by using an electric garage door opener. Paramedics say the child was not injured.

Anselment says the boy is being held for 72 hours by social service workers.

Gee, I wonder why social services has anything to do with it. Once again, it could happen to anyone. But should it?
