HongPong snaps a bunch of pics of the street art/graffiti down around St. Anthony Main and the riverside. It’s a good reminder to not submit to the new world order.

Hongpong shouldn’t give a forum to vandals. And they look like stencils, not art.

HongPong calls it stencil in the headline. And HongPong excuses him/herself with “what can I say? I like street art.” I do too, in limited areas (NIMBY, for one example). There’s a very nice spray-painted poker hand (royal flush) on those grain tower thingies between Soap Factory and St. Anthony Main.

Rat, we all know your dubious definitions of art. Stencils that look good and are limited in number I think look great. Banksy has done some amazing things. I wonder if that movie is on video yet.
I’m much more interested in the “unspeakable horror” that Hongpong finds in a world without street art. Hongpong has issues.

Well, where those pictures are taken is close to my backyard. Grafitti vandalism grows fast. Europe is awash in the ugly crap produced by these pipsqueaks. They just gave up. I hope we don’t.

Yeah, that stuff that requires skill, talent and training is pretty dubious.

Rat, fair enough. If I were you I’d probably be bummed about this art location then. Say… would you call this grunt art? Or is “grunt” not applicable to art?
Speaking of Rat and art, I still say if you curated a show, I’d for sure attend.
