As reported on WCCO, the kitchen staff at Ichiban Japanese Steak House walked off the job Friday to protest working conditions and a request to split health care insurance costs.  The general manager wasted little time, going to Craigslist to seek permanent replacements.

I only went to Ichiban a few times a year to take advantage of all the sushi I cared to eat for $29 ($20 if I was early) but the sushi chefs always remembered my wife and I and made us feel welcome.¬† To me, THEY were Ichiban.¬† I don’t think I can go to Ichiban anymore if they’re not going to be there.
