I agree. The Yankees are boringly predictable.
This is why the Twins are the Twins and the Yankees are the Yankees. Let's see, should we go for Hardy or Teixera? Hmmm.

I like the guy, but I have to admit he was a bit disappointing.

Just about every time we went to a game at the dome, you'd hear "fans" (quote marks emphasized) trashing GoGo loudly, which made me want to stand ...

Too bad. I remember Wittman when he played for IU.
It’s McKale who should have gotten the boot, years ago.
11:08 am
McHale, rather….
11:14 am
Sure, Wittman wasn’t given Jordan-Pippen or Shaq-Kobe…but he’s still culpable. Read Britt Robson’s explanation in section 2 of his latest piece.
11:17 am
Wittman was allegedly @ the Barn on Saturday watching his son’s Cornell squad lose to the Gophers. He got to witness a masterful coaching job (30 point turn-around in the 2nd half) by The Best Sports Coach Currently Residing in Minnesota…Orlando “Tubby” Smith.
Forget about Target Center, folks (I know…you already have). The Barn is where it’s happening.
11:53 am
Was anybody paying attention? The team’s been on a downward spiral since the departure of “fan favorite” Fred Hoiberg from the roster.

Just as the current Detroit Lions (football) situation can be directly attributed to Matt Millon, the T-Wolves woes are directly attributable to Kevin McHale. With him taking on the coaching duties, perhaps the personnel decisions will be made by someone with some competence, but I won’t count on that.

McHale will give up his front office duties! McHale will give up his front office duties!
About freakin’ time!

Actually, Douglas, the parallels between the Lions and Timberwolves can be traced a bit higher than their recently-former GMs. Ownership is the root of the problem for both.

I just hope someone realizes there is a problem before the Woofs become the Bengals.

Wittman was indeed at the gopher game watching his son, and the crowd chanted “Fire Randy” on at least one occasion. Oucha Magoucha.
This comment was the most thought i’ve given to the timberwolves in my whole life.
Go gophers.
1:59 pm
i was there and didn’t hear the chant. I was just too busy covering my 4-year-old’s ears every time the students busted into the “BULL-SHIT” and “ASS-HOLE” chants. I know it’s not Cameron Indoor Arena, but can’t we get a little more clever?
GO GOPHERS (Except for New Year’s Eve)
4:09 pm
Your four year old will be fine, and when has The Barn ever been G-rated, except of course when it was empty the last time we had a coach as bad as Wittman.
10:58 am
Well at least they’ve got a fresh face in the coaching spo–oh wait. Well at least the GM assembled some talen–um. Hmm.
I do not understand what has gone on at Target Center for quite some time. I’ve been a die hard Wolves fan since day one, but this might be a new low.

I think the whole thing isn’t too complicated. McHale told Taylor that Wittman had to go. Taylor asked McHale if he thought he could do better. McHale said yes. Taylor said ok, you are the coach, but you have to give up the rest of your duties. McHale, always thinking he is smarter than everyone else said OK, and now McHale is the coach. The best part is the McHale is all but gone, and we will have a new GM and a new coach by next fall.
