Tomorrow is the first day of spring, traditionally a time in Minnesota when everyone who got together to merge body heat for the coming winter finally calls it quits. Anyone else notice this historical seasonal break-up trend? And where are all the singles heading for new meat? (This Citypages blog post http://blogs.citypages.com/food/2009/03/surly_makes_cra.php hints at some food-related locales).

Seriously Misconnecting: I hear you. Where are those guys? It’s spring. Come out from under your compost heaps and show some love.

After spending the winter hibernating with my cat, I’m anxious instead to speak English again with a biped. Meow?

I’ve had several friends recently bounce from their LTRs. Spring definitely puts a bug in your ear when it comes to break-ups for some reason. I am hoping to pick up some of the runoff.

Are the MNVengers doing their trivia thing tonight?

I think it was decided to invite you to not return, Douglas. Didn’t you get the email?

Damn! I knew I was too quiet!

Actually, I think Cat and kwatt raised the issue of your non-attendance causing dissension on the team.

This spring break up trend has never affected me.
Did you see that, ladies? I know the difference between affect and effect. Ohhhhh yeahhhhh. You want it.

I have a date tomorrow, so that’s something.
Speaking of me…
Tonight the Pirates )or whatever the hell the second MNVengers team called themselves) were awarded first place for their performance. That team consisted of KC, Mnblrmkr and Kurtis. I say they “were awarded” because if you look at the score sheets compared to the MNVengers (Noodleman, DouglasG and me), you’ll see that both teams were technically tied and should have both received free drinks.
I plan on sending emails to everyone on the Pirates team, banning them from ever participating in trivia in the same establishment that I am partaking in trivia in. Plus, they were too quiet and totally had this email coming for that alone. Jerks.
But seriously, good times tonight. Bill Watkins announced next week’s theme will be sports but, even if you aren’t a sports fan, you should come. Good conversation and fun people. Plus, no one gets in trouble for being too quiet (except the Pirates…argh).
Also, back on topic, I have a date tomorrow.

Woot! Woot! We won!

Call me when the topic is the state legislature. Until then, your trivia means nothing to me.

Haaayyy! I will not be held liable for anything Dougnuts does or does not do.
It’s only fun for me to answer the one trvia question that I would know from the coziness of a MNspeak thread.
I don’t have a date tomorrow night.

PDQ Bach (AKA Peter Schickele) would have been a good question for tonight. Regional connections too: born in Ames, gre up in Fargo.

We was robbed. But we did score better overall than we did last week.
:::sigh::: I don’t have a date tonight. I have to work.

Btw, jus’ joshin’. That’s not an embittered comment. Patrick actually did mark one of our answers wrong when, in fact, it was correct (Pat Buchanan).
1. Name the country near which the Atlantic Ocean is further west than the Pacific Ocean?
2. There is 1 of these for every 350 Irish.
