The Loft's Equilibrium series is always good, and the slams at the Artists' Quarter in St. Paul (first Mondays of every month) and Kieran's in Minneapolis (second Tuesdays) are generally pretty entertaining. The Twin Cities right now has one of the top spoken-word scenes in the nation. Not quite as huge as NY and San Francisco and places like that, but lots of great youth programs, regular events and much more. That blog, Minnesota Microphone, is new, but it’s probably the best place to go right now for updates on future events, coverage of past events and more.
