Public Art St. Paul is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, and it’s pretty cool: Check out this skull-like park bench. What are some of your favorite examples of local public art? What do you wish would go away?

I like the old school statues around Minnehaha Falls a lot. In general, I like statues, especially if they have plaques explaining history stuff attached. I love Minnesota history.
I love the water fountain on the North East side of Loring Park that looks like a dandelion after it turns white. I think it is fun and accessible. Perfect for that area.
Is architecture public art? If so, I have a lot more favorites.

Speaking of public art, the St. Paul Art Crawl is happening this weekend. Lowertown — a REAL artists’ warehouse district — will be open for what will essentially be an open house. Click here for details.

Don’t tell me. We don’t have. Any money.

“:What do you wish would go away?”
That idiotic “Bits and Pieces Put Together to Present a Semblance of a Whole” on the side of The Walker.
I’ll settle for that. I’d like to list more. Possibly a lot more.

There’s a odd-looking sculpture depicting pioneers just off Marshall Street that always makes me pause if I have the time.
