Gotta say “Purple Rain” would probably win any state-rock-song poll, if only because it’s the most recognizable song on the list ‘cept for “Love Is All Around.” Prince wins, tho, because he’s Minnesotan and Mary Richards is not.

I love Never Better.

I’m disappointed that the Sailor Martin album does not include the “Edina Screamer” song. However, I’ll forgive him — but only because “You Homo-Loving Commie Sons of Guns” is so good.

I’m disappointed that there isn’t a Sailor Martin song on the list for state song.

Nothing says Minnesota more than the song “If You Don’t Want a Razor Fight”
or “It’s Hard For Me To Enjoy It When You Sit On It.”

Not to mention “One Million Frogtown Whores.”

I think “One Million Frogtown Whores” is more of a Twin Cities theme song, IMHO.

One would think that would be enough for an entire state, Cat, or at least enough to fill max’s Circle Bed.

Whore d’oeuvres, any one?

how can the MN state song be anything but “Bastards of Young”?
